CSESE Facility and Sustainable Training Award (FaST Award)
Call for application
Computational skills are becoming increasingly important today in all disciplines while the computational facility is a bottleneck problem in developing countries like Ethiopia. The CSESE FaST award aims to provide the computational facility and sustainable training in the fields of emerging computational methods to scientific researchers and innovators to become tomorrow’s Ethiopian leaders in computational sciences and engineering (CSE) across various disciplines and sectors. Applicants can apply for the FaST award for six months, one year, or three years depending on the availability of the facility and scientific advisory. The award focuses on a limited number of MSc and Ph.D. students during their study time. Moreover, the competition for the award will also be given to a few staff members from Ethiopian public colleges/universities and research institutes. Priority would be given to areas of study in chemistry, materials science, materials engineering, physics, AI (data science), biology, and/or geoscience, and also where the FaST award is reasonably needed.
